Gamasutra reports on the features the new PSP firmware adds for connecting PSP and PS3. Sony's plan seems to be primarily to use the PS3 as a way of distributing media content to the PSP, including games, movies, pictures, and music. I would love to see them connecting the game experiences, but this is a good first step.
